Arteel history
Arteel is a family-owned company that was founded in 1976. It all started in the famous university town of Leuven where the family ran a shop in which they sold engraved articles, pens and sports trophies . Nowadays Arteel is known as a full service provider in recognition and in customer loyalty solutions. This is a result of the relentless efforts of the 2nd generation management that has successfully directed this change over the past 20 years.
Yves Arteel is the Managing Director and CEO of the company. His wife Nathalie Arteel is the Commercial Director; she is the driving force behind the marketing and sales division of the company.
After they took over the business from their parents in 1991, the management rapidly realized there were some excellent opportunities to diversify what they had on offer and they developed a strategy that focused on the segment of exclusive business gifts and creative award programs.
They invested a great deal in the chosen strategy, moved to a pro-active approach of the market and, in 1996, bought a new corporate building in Herent near Leuven. This was an important step in the history of the company. It allowed for all services for their B2B customers to be centralized in one location while maintaining the Leuven based pen shop that until today remains a reference for people who are looking for a stylish personalized gift.
A unique 1000m² B2B-showroom was installed, the storage capacity was significantly increased in a bigger warehouse, and a new production workshop was created where diverse techniques are used to personalize and customize the products.
Over the years the customer base has gradually expanded to include various multinational companies who were all convinced by the creative and high quality service of Arteel, an evolution that was accelerated when the company submitted a European tender for a world class company in the FCMG industry to set-up a service award program for the EMEA region. It took two years to conclude the contract but it has resulted in the company now being a full service provider that exports to 42 countries around the world with an in-house design team.
It also pushed Arteel to invest futher in their IT infrastructure and in the development of their team. Highly specialized people were hired to strengthen the operations in sales & marketing, sourcing, logistics and production. Today, this comprises a team of dedicated professionals, engaged and committed to provide an outstanding and unforgettable customer service and exceeding your expectations.
